New York City is an excellent destination for solo travelers, both men and women. All right, that's a HORRIBLE life motto. Some people are, without a doubt, absolutely incredible. I love walking into Strand and practically frolicking through the endless piles of used books.
So, unless you live in some kind of alternative universe where you're not exposed to absolutely any pop culture trends, then you know that cat cafes are totally a “thing”. So far, I've enjoyed 1- and 2-day trips to New York, as well as stopovers while traveling abroad. There's everything: 60 incredible stores, 35 different places to eat and an annual calendar full of incredible events. It's normal to worry about safety when traveling alone, especially in a city as big as New York. Broadway is one of the main reasons I love New York City, and I advocate that people traveling alone come and visit it.
